Here are some useful resources on the Environment, Green and Sustainable Energy, and the Renewable Energy Industry.

Incentives, Rebates and Other Programs

Net Metering

Net Metering significantly improves the economics of small wind systems for residential and small/medium business. Net Metering enables end users to offset the cost of utility-supplied power. This is achieved by feeding wind-generated power back into the power grid. This allows electricity consumers to effectively “run the meter backwards,” as they can be credited for excess power they produce, up to the amount of their own power consumption.

Retail Sales Tax Rebate

Many regions, provinces and states provide credits for taxes paid on renewable energy systems.

Standard Offer Programs

Some governments have approved Standard Offer Programs (SOPs) or Feed-in Traffics that allow renewable energy producers to be paid for the electricity they produce. These agreements are for a set period of time and for pre-established prices.
